An early kick off today saw us play our inaugural match in ESFL division 4. There seemed to be something in the air and unfortunately it resulted in the lads not playing anywhere near their shown potential.

Possibly first game jitters, or perhaps too much confidence gained during preseason against far better opponents.

Bexhill AAC II seamed to be more interested in kicking our players than actually playing football which is such a shame, this resulted in them having a player sent off for violent conduct after round housing one of our players. Very embarrassing for them and such a sad reflection on the spirit of the league and football association

Despite playing 10 men, we simply weren’t clinical in the few chances we did make.

A harsh introduction to the league, however, perhaps a necessary one. The game finished 2-1 to Bexhill AAC II
