Today saw us facing sovereign saints seconds at home. After a brace of below par results, Neil Sutcliffe read the riot act to the Chopbacks during the week, supported by his management team and subsequent focused training, the lads responded.
From the off we looked like a different team today, showing glimpses of our true potential.
Saints played well and after we took a commanding lead pulled it back to 2-2. From then on, we worked hard, won our battles and pushed on. Both teams had goals disallowed after appearing to cross the line.
A saints player lost his cool and was sent off, from then on, it was ours to loose.
Special mention to Connor Easton for scoring 4 goals!
Man of the match was Dayle Mcgurk, not just for an outstanding performance but also from avoiding getting a caution! Every player was amazing today though so many nominations
The referee was fantastic today, credit to his trade . Thanks to Saints for the game.
